I love all things ceramic!
Initially, I started my pottery journey sculpting animals in stoneware clay. After a while I felt I wanted to learn all elements of creating work in clay and make some functional pieces. I purchased a Shimpo wheel which I still use today to throw mugs, bowls and plates. Further developments came experimenting with different clays and glaze techniques. At the moment most of my work is made in stoneware and porcelain clay and fired to 1280 degrees C. I love the challenge that clay provides, there are always new techniques to develop and try new ideas using this versatile medium.
My studio is based at my home in Dorset in the UK. Inspiration comes from the local area, animals, homegrown food and flowers. Glaze colours and textures are chosen to reflect the countryside and seascapes that I live in and have visited respectively.
I have exhibited in shops and galleries in the South and South East and when the Bath Artisan Markets are up and running again you may find me there. If you would like to stay in touch, please subscribe to my email list below.
